Oh my Corona

Surreal. Unbelievable. It is difficult to capture the situation we find ourselves in due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in a single word. What is certain, however, is that many of our plans for the spring of 2020 had to be thrown in the bin. Events could not go ahead, canoe trips were banned, our hospitality clients had to close their doors and as a logical consequence, we saw very few new orders coming in. So it was up to us to come up with solutions.

We came up with the idea of putting together an apΓ©ro box. A mini Ghentist with 2 tonics, ideal for enjoying an apΓ©ritif at home with two. Or simply for drinking 2 delicious Gin and Tonics yourself, of course. This box became a great success. We could see that not only in our sales figures, but also in the number of people searching on Google for such a box. We had a great position there!

Our personalised bottles also went down well. People who hadn't seen each other in a long time and still wanted to surprise someone in a nice way – we could arrange that. Although we must admit that not every message was clear to us.

The Coronavirus also gave birth to quite a few good initiatives. Several platforms were created to promote local and/or Belgian businesses. Right up our alley. Our favourites are Love from quarantine &

In addition, there was also an initiative from Mediahuis that allowed us to advertise for free on the websites of their various newspapers. Of course, we only appeared a limited number of times, but it was still a nice bonus.
