Our Story
Created by the Brysbaert brothers
A few years ago, we came up with the idea to combine our love for good gin with our love for Ghent. That's how The Ghentist was born, as a tribute to the charming city with its young, independent mentality.
Our Ghent floral gin with fresh citrus notes reflects that character right down to the taste.
Every detail of our bottle and logo refers to the rich history of Ghent.

The colours
Our colour choice (black and white) is inspired by the Stroppen, the symbol of the proud resistance of the people of Ghent.
The bottle
The unique gin bottle is shaped so that the bottleneck is cast in the form of a cannon, paying tribute to the Ghent cannon 'De Dulle Griet'.
Sustainable
At The Ghentist, we consciously choose an eco-friendly way of delivering.
We supply hospitality businesses along the Ghent waterways by canoe, directly through the city that inspires us. As true Ghent locals, we also simply hop on our bikes to bring our gin to our customers. Local, sustainable and with respect for the city.
Our canoe deliveries didn't go unnoticed. In 2020, articles about our unique approach appeared in Het Nieuwsblad and Het Laatste Nieuws. Later that year, we were also invited on the VTM programme Jonge Wolven.
